The new on-campus resale store opens today on the ground floor of DeMattias Hall. The store will be open throughout Fall Move-In.

Billiken 2 Billiken’s shelves are stocked with gently-used items donated by the SLU community. The store’s inventory ranges from bath supplies to pots and pans to refrigerators to stuffed pals awaiting a place atop a residence hall bed.

Pricing System Dot Colors

The store’s items are available at bargain prices. Some items are available for free. The store uses a color-coded dot pricing system.

Billiken 2 Billiken, formerly SLU’s “Trash to Treasure” program, was reimagined to redistribute donated items back to students on-campus. The B2B program redirects usable items from landfill dumpsters to the resale shelves, and proceeds from item sales benefit student-focused efforts on campus.

B2B is just one of the newly-launched resources aimed at supporting student life on campus. In 2018, Billiken Bounty, a student-led, student-staffed food resource, opened on campus to ensure that Billikens have a place to shop bridge gaps that can lead to food insecurity, a growing concern on college campuses nationwide. Students can also access other resource centers on campus, including a clothing closet founded by students that received one of the University’s bicentennial 1818 Grants.
