Provost-Approved Academic Unit Rank and Tenure Documents
As per the Faculty Manual, links to provost-approved rank and tenure documents for each academic unit at Saint Louis University are below. All participants in the promotion and/or tenure review process must follow the approved processes and utilize the approved standards pertinent to the applicant.
Proposed changes to a unit’s rank and tenure processes and standards, or new rank and tenure processes or standards, should follow the process outlined in section III.E.3 of the Faculty Manual and are not official until approved by the SLU provost.
If documents have been revised within the last three years, the approved process changes apply to all faculty immediately. The Faculty Manual section III.E.1 provides guidance on when the new standards begin to apply.
