Digital Badges

Official Saint Louis University digital badges are issued by the Office of the University Registrar to students that have successfully completed the requirements of a microcredential. 

A digital badge is a visual representation of a microcredential. Each badge contains verified information about the achievement, including the skills earned, criteria met, issuing organization, and date of issuance.

How will I know when I have earned a badge?
When a badge is issued, you will receive an email notification from Parchment with instructions for accessing your account and claiming your badge.
What is Parchment?
Parchment is the university's platform for managing, issuing and verifying digital badges. The platform provides learners with a secure and shareable record of their accomplishments.
Do I need a Parchment account?
Yes. When you receive a badge notification, you will be prompted to create or access your Parchment Digital Badge account. This account allows you to view, manage and share your earned badges.
How can I view my badges?
After logging in to Parchment, you can access your personal dashboard to view all earned microcredentials and digital badges.
How do I share my digital badge?

Digital badges can be shared through:

  • Email
  • Electronic resumes
  • Professional portfolios
  • Personal websites
  • Social media platforms

Sharing options are available directly within the Parchment Digital Badge platform.
