Due to COVID-19 measures, SLU Testing Center services are only available on a limited basis. All exams offered through ETS (including the GRE and TOEFL) have been suspended until further notice. All affected candidates will be contacted directly by ETS to reschedule.
Saint Louis University is a national test center for the GRE, PRAXIS, TOEFL, CLEP, MoGEA and MAT. We are also a Pearson VUE testing center.
The SLU Testing Center also offers a number of standardized tests in conventional paper format, including the ACT Residual. Please note that SLU is no longer a testing center for the GED or HiSET exams. The following testing services are available:
- Computer testing: GRE, TOEFL, PRAXIS, MOGEA, CLEP and MAT
- Conventional testing: ACT and ACT - Residual
GRE, TOEFL and PRAXIS
Register online for the GRE, PRAXIS or TOEFL exams at ets.org. A credit card is required when registering online.
CLEP and MAT
Call the Testing Center at 314-977-2963. Each appointment is scheduled on an individual basis, typically Monday through Friday. It is recommended that you complete registration two weeks in advance to ensure you get the date and time that you want.
Prior to contacting us to schedule a CLEP exam, register and purchase a voucher directly with CollegeBoard. On the day of your exam at SLU, must pay the $20 administration fee by cash (correct change only) or money order made out to Saint Louis University. SLU will be unable to give you your exam unless payment is made.
The Missouri General Education Assessment (MoGEA) has subtests in English/language arts, writing, mathematics, science and social studies. More information, including registration information, can be found online at mo.nesinc.com. All registrations, including payment for the exam, are handled directly by the testing company.
The Testing Center is located in room 205 on the second floor of the Marvin and Harlene Wool Center, 3545 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63103. The Testing Center does not have reserved parking. (See options for visitor parking at SLU.)
During check-in, you will leave all personal belongings in an assigned space. These spaces are not secured; valuables should be left in a car or at home. The Testing Center is not responsible for personal items brought to the exam.
The only personal item allowed to be present on your desk during the exam is an ID. Cell phones cannot be accessed during an exam, even during breaks. Cell phone usage will invalidate the exam.
