SLU Distribution Services

Saint Louis University's Department of Distribution Services serves as the primary receiving and distribution center for SLU's North and South campuses.

The department is responsible for collecting mail from the post offices and mail-drop locations around campus. This group also completes small office moves and bulk item deliveries, sets up outdoor events that are coordinated by Event Services, and picks up large recycling around campus.

The Department of Distribution Services is in Earhart Hall, which also houses a record-storage facility.

Before using any of the department's services, please submit a service request online.

Moves

After the move request has been approved, you will need to ask your department administrator to complete an ISD. Contact Sue Held or Mark Evans to obtain final costs.

Small Moves

Distribution Services can assist with small campuswide office moves. Review these guidelines (PDF) and submit a move request with all of the correct information. We will contact you for scheduling.

Large Moves

If you need to request assistance with a large move not related to a construction project, please contact Distribution Services at 314-977-2958. Distribution Services will review your request and the scope of work and provide you with a solution.

Furniture-Only Moves

For moves requiring only furniture, please submit a service request under Facilities Distribution.

Cubicle Walls

For cubicle wall removal/installation and removal of wall-attached desks, please follow these instructions.

Record Storage

The record storage facility at Earhart Hall is available for departmental use. Those who wish to utilize the storage area must submit a work order request under the description "Records." In addition, please review the Record Storage Policy and Procedures to ensure proper record storage policy, including instructions on box sizes and labeling, is followed.

Proper usage of Earhart Hall’s Record Storage Facility requires each person or department to adhere to the following instructions before creating a work order. Failing to follow the specified instructions will prevent us from being able to pick up your boxes.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Mark Evans via email at mark.evans@slu.edu or call 314-977-2958 or Sue Held at sue.held.1@slu.edu or call 314-977-7179.
