Room and Board Rates

Saint Louis University offers a variety of housing and meal plan options for students of all levels. We have plans for traditional residence halls, apartments with full kitchens, students who want to live solo or with roommates and many options in between. Complete information on room and board rates at SLU can be found below. 

  • Rates provided are per student, per semester.
  • Beginning Fall 2026, housing and meal plan charges are no longer billed together, but are two separate rates. See meal plan rates below.
  • Deluxe rooms have either a full private bathroom or half private bathroom. Semisuites have a bathroom that is shared with one other room.
  • In the event of a difference between this rate table and the University Published Rates, the latter shall prevail.

Meal Plan Rates

  • Saint Louis University requires all undergraduate students living in on-campus to have a meal plan each semester. SLU also requires a Flex 300 plan for all commuter students. 

  • First-year students, living in a residence hall, must have the All Access meal plan and will be automatically enrolled.
  • All other returning students living in the residence halls or apartments will be automatically enrolled in the meal plan outlined below by student and residence type.
Meal Plan Options Cost Per Semester Who is eligible?

All Access (7days): 

Unlimited swipes within Grand Dining Hall, $300 flex per semester

 $3,371 First-year students are automatically enrolled in this plan and may not choose a lower cost plan.

All Access (Monday-Friday):

Unlimited swipes within Grand Dining Hall, Monday through Friday, $400 flex per semester

 $3,045 This plan is available to returning students or commuter students.

Weekly 10:

10 swipes per week, $600 flex per semester

 $2,610 Returning students living within a residence hall are automatically enrolled in this plan, and can upgrade to the two plans listed above, but cannot choose a lower cost plan.

Weekly 7:

7 swipes per week, $700 flex per semester

 $2,175 This plan is available to apartment residents or commuter students.

Flex 600:

$600 flex per semester

 $600 This plan is available to apartment residents or commuter students.

Flex 300:

$300 flex per semester

 $300 Apartment residents are automatically enrolled in this plan, and can upgrade to any plan.
