- Saint Louis University's Accelerating Excellence Campaign Exceeds $600 Million, Surpassing Goal by $100 Million
08/22- Saint Louis University has recently announced that it exceeded its $500 million goal for Accelerating Excellence: The Campaign for Saint Louis University. Thanks to support from donors, who include SLU-St. Louis and SLU-Madrid trustees, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, foundations and corporations, the campaign has raised $604 million.
08/10- Dr. Carolina Aznar (Humanities) is co-directing the Southern Plain of Akko Project (SPAP), a joint project between SLU-Madrid and the University of Haifa (Israel).
08/02- A generous benefactor helps SLU-Madrid maximize the study abroad experience for SLU students by making additional travel more accessible for those who want to explore Europe and beyond during their studies.
07/14- The Madrid Campus has acquired 1,000-square-meters (10,760-square-feet) of future classroom, work and student lounge space, slated to open for Fall 2024.

05/20- The spring commencement ceremony returned to the Reina Sofía Museum Auditorium on Friday, May 13, for the first time since 2019.
05/11- An honorary degree is the University's most prestigious recognition. Nominees merit special recognition for genuine achievement and distinction in a field or activity consonant with Jesuit values and the mission of the University.
05/04- These essay collections, monographs, articles and book chapters have been published in Catalan, English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. Topics include the atmospheric conditions on Mars, consumer trust in e-commerce, visual political activism in Mexico, military presence in Cuba amid COVID-19, and religious affairs in late medieval Spain.
05/04- The goal of this new Core is to prepare all students to be intellectually flexible, creative, and reflective critical thinkers in the spirit of the Catholic, Jesuit tradition. It is designed to nourish students' minds, hearts, souls, and well-being, and to guide them in discerning how to use their talents for the good of others.

03/22- Ángeles Encinar, Ph.D. (Spanish) hosted her most recent book launch at the Spanish Royal Academy (RAE), the country's official institution whose mission is to ensure the stability of the Spanish language.
03/15- SLU-Madrid accounting and finance professor, Laura Muro, has been granted a sabbatical leave for the Fall 2022 semester to be an honorary fellow at the Hanken Centre for Accounting, Finance, and Governance in Finland (Hanken Centre).
03/10- Journalist and political thriller author, Elcin Poyrazlar, was invited to speak in a SLU-Madrid political science class to discuss the geopolitical significance that Turkey plays in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
03/07- Career Services coordinator, Patrice Burns, organized the Alumni Employment Forum which was held on March 2. During the discussion, three recent graduates gave insight to current SLU-Madrid students when seeking jobs upon graduation.
03/02- Over 95% of the Class of 2021* have either started their professional careers or have continued their education in eight countries. These SLU-Madrid alumni can be found in China, France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Scotland, Spain, and the United States.

11/10- SLU-Madrid Professor Ángeles Encinar, Ph.D. (Spanish), was recently inducted into the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) as an academic correspondent for the Madrid Province.
11/05- Introduction to Oceanography students travelled to the Mediterranean Sea to study coastal ecosystems and observe first-hand anthropological impacts on marine areas.
10/28- SLU-Madrid students, faculty and staff embarked on this semester's Loyola Ignatian Pilgrimage Retreat which traces the life of St. Ignatius across northern Spain.
