Off-Campus Housing

Saint Louis University is located in a thriving urban area with many rental housing options for those who want to live alone, with roommates or with families. SLU graduate and professional students — as well as eligible undergraduates — interested in pursuing these off-campus housing options often ask:

  • What off-campus housing options are closest to Saint Louis University?
  • Can Saint Louis University help me find roommates for off-campus housing?
  • Is there a way at Saint Louis University to post or find a sublease?

To assist students and prospective students interested in off-campus housing arrangements, Saint Louis University has partnered with College Pads to create an off-campus housing marketplace that can help with these questions and offers renter education resources.

Choosing Off-Campus Housing

First- and second-year SLU students are subject to our residency requirement and may not live in off-campus housing without an exemption.

Students who choose to live off campus should thoroughly research options, carefully read any contracts and be aware of any applicable state or federal housing laws. Consider the costs associated with living off campus, which may include additional fees for utilities, parking a security deposit and more.
